6&1/2 to 7ft. BNM light action crappie rod and a good small spinning reel (I like the Shimanos). Fill with 6# fluorocarbon and fish your butt off. Whole rig shouldn't cost more than $75.

I just searched for a new rod. There really is a shortage of 6 to 6'6" UL rods out there. Glad I found my Falcon HD on sale when I did.

He falcon HD UL I got is 5' I think...only the originals were longer. I wanted one but wasn't gonna spend $80 on a UL. But I agree good 6'+ UL rods are few and far between.
If I break this HD again I'm gonna find something else longer.

Mine is 6', and is perfect for what I do with it. Most everything else is either too short, too limber, or too heavy.

6' is what I want. I can't cast far enough with the 5'. And my first one the second cast ever with it I got hung in a lily pad and pulled back and the rod snapped in half like nothing. I got it replaced free though.
