Large Club Waiting List Protocol

I know every club is different but looking for ideas to maybe revamp the way our club handles the waiting list.
We currently have 3 waiting list. This is the order of list and who takes priority
-Family of current members (kids, spouse, parent)
-Ex-members who left on good standing wanting back in club
-General waiting list who don’t qualify for 1st two list (friends, co-workers, etc)
If a person on any of these waiting list declines membership but wants to stay on list their name goes to bottom of list for following year.

Seems pretty good. How are you wanting to improve that

It’s pretty standard. And it’s real nice if you fall into one of those.
It is frustrating though to have to turn away somebody you know is gonna be a good member in favor of somebody’s son or brother or something that you know is sketchy and not gonna contribute overall.

Seems fine but add these to the bottom of the list. Or the next page completely

Just looking at what other large clubs do
I kinda like it cause it keeps the main core group in by adding their kids/spouse

All the clubs I’ve been in were political. If a person had access to heavy equipment, they were at the top.

We need more details about the club in order to gauge the level of demand. Like is this a club on the Mississippi river with thousands of acres of bottomland hardwood forest that also has a little duck hunting or is it a pine tree club with some food plots and a pipeline?

I’d rather hunt public land my entire life and kill does than be around the hunting club types. I can’t even imagine

Heavy equipment and a busy work schedule gets them to the top of our list
