Thanks

So if the water is shitty at the point, and I haven't caught a bass in almost a month in Henderson, I can't decide what or where to fish tomorrow. Yall tell me where to go!

Not going to tell you where to go, but I will suggest you look at a weather app.

Yeah, just noticing the wind conditions for most areas. Guess I'll stay home and clean decoys, and maybe my truck one last time before hunting season.

I checked the weather earlier in the week, and I knew it was gonna be cold, but the wind was only like 5-7mph. Its gone up since last time I checked.

This is kinda unrelated to the current conversation, but a guy I work with who I always talk about fishing with just told me his neighbor owns 18 acres of land right next door. He said he is about to start digging it up and selling the dirt to the highway construction people. He's turning the entire 18 acres into a lake. This is about 5 minutes away from work. He said they're going to stock it. I told him I'm gonna buy a kayak to leave at his house.

That would be awesome. He also told me they will be stocking the ponds at the new park in Broussard. Which is also walking distance from where I work. My lunch breaks will be gone.

that sounds awesome! I have a friend in VP who has a private pond. Think I'm gonna head that way tomorrow maybe shoot some skeet, then go catch a couple bass in his pond. He wants to take some small ones out.

I'm from VP, so there is a solid chance I know your wife's family.

We went fish the private pond for a little while Sunday afternoon. It was a blue bird day with the wind blowing. Showed up and my buddy was already there fishing. He hadn't had a bite yet. And he left without getting a bite. My gf and I both fished for about 40 minutes with no luck. That is the first time I've gone to his pond and not gotten a bite. We usually catch two or three within 30 or so minutes. He blamed the weather conditions, I blamed the black cloud following me around when I'm trying to fish lately...

ETA: I will be fishing somewhere this week/weekend just not sure yet. If I wait to go fishing until Saturday morning, we will probably head a little north. Maybe Crooked Creek, or around the Alexandria area possibly. I'm going to go with a buddy of mine, so I'm leaving the destination up to him.
