LA1 bridges at grand isle are being replaced

i just saw this article about road closures on LA1 below fourchon for at least the next 5 months so if you are planning any trips just be aware traffic might be a mess

also i dont know what it means for those who like to fish the bridges on the side of the road? i sure hope they do something with this in mind to be fishermen access friendly at the same time, but then that would require common sense and good planning.

such things are never found from those who make decisions on roads and bridges projects in this state

The closed lane will alternate throughout the construction of three bridges along LA 1. The traffic will be controlled by temporary traffic signals.

Theyve been setting up for this at Elmers Island entrance for a few months now.

Get ready for a stage 5 cluster frick. The contractor who is doing the work is not the best out there.

They did. Quality jobs such as la 21 Covington, jones creek and central throughway in central.

I just hope the put some space on the damn things for people to fish so they'll get out the dang road!
