I have one and it's really good- I've had them update it every couple years

What do they update? What do they charge for the update?

When I get home I'll post screen shots of the Standard mapping La1 card. It's awful.

So I’m downloading maps right now. It took about 6 hours to download all of Delacroix/hopedale. I’m good to transfer to an SD card and report back how it looks on my lowrance T9

I just found out if you are using SAS Planet newest version you need to set your raster options to change: advanced Options->Raster Options->Filter Alpha:0 to Filter Alpha:1

This will remove the black border around the image. I just finished one for the entire Lake Verret Basin and it came out perfect!
Next will be redoing my Basin one and making a Bayou Black card.

So I followed the instructions and the files are finally finished. I just have to download them to and SD card now and upload it on my lowrance. Hope it works. Took 3 days to finish downloading. I basically did a map of South LA from the rigolets to cocodrie.

those instructions are pretty good but not real good. I have all of south la from miss to texas done and fits on a 16 gb card...gotta mess with the program and the zoom levels. once you figure it out its an amazing tool...just don't sell em

I get people all the time asking to buy them but I'm not doing that. One guy on another fishing board was selling them and got in all kinds of trouble.

Still not sure why they are illegal but I guess it has to do with royalties to Lowrance for selling a product that needs one of their products to work.

I imagine you can go to a place like Fiverr and get maps made for cheap. If you need to just instruct it is a fantasy map

That makes sense if you cannot buy a commercial license for map creator.

No problem, the last company was legend and glenn at standard got mad they were doing it and started some crap saying copyright infringement etc... went to court and legend WINS...so glenn buys them out for a huge amount.

he is the only person now with the rights to the program im sure it has to do with that.

legend was using public maps any of us can use, same as standards mapping that oranage and blue tint they use is a public map anyone of us can download and print...

anyone on here ever made a card for the east side of the Biloxi Marsh? It would be a real shame if I traded you a gift card to academy (or your store of choice) for one

Ha the card I'm making is all of biloxi marsh from half moon on down to Point la hache and Venice. Then all of the west side of the river from lafitte/lake boudreaux on down to Cocodrie/Grand Isle. Just took a couple days to download it on SAS Planet
