Wasn’t boiling until after lunch. With this over cast and cooler weather can I just keep them in the bed of the truck maybe hit with the hose until then

Youll risk having more dead ones but sure why not

Cool wet towel over the sacks, preferably in the shade too

Put a wet towel over them and as long as the sun isn't directly on it I would think that would help. A fan probably wouldn't hurt

69 and overcast where I’m at. Gonna use the wet towel method

You can always dump them out of the sack so they're not so crowded. If you have a large container you purge them in, just dump them in there and keep them out of the direct sun. An occasional spritz with cold water from the hose wouldn't hurt. Just make sure you drain any water that collects until ready to purge.
I got a sack yesterday but I have a fridge in the man cave that I put them in until I got ready to boil. Before that, I'd dump them in a 48 qt. Igloo and mix in some ice to keep them cool and leave the drain plug open.

What kind of price did you get for live?
Posted on 3/29/20 at 11:51 am to BooDreaux
I got some for 2.19 but you can get 1.88 at rouses I think. I don’t mind paying a little extra for quality. My guy never lets me down.

Thanks we are looking for the least expensive we can find since we need to have 2-3 sacks sent to Orlando hopefully sometime this week

China virus made the prices go up.
