From time to time, people post and ask about work boot recommendations. The usual suspects get mentioned, even though they are all made in China or Mexico. Sometimes you'll hear get RedWings or some other Made in USA WITH GLOBAL MATERIALS. All of those fit a niche.

But if you want the BEST, then JK is the boot. They're having an Easter sale that ends tomorrow, April 10.

I have worn boots my whole life and I wear boots daily working my cattle. My dad also was a wildland firefighter for the US Forest Service. We both swear by their boots. Made from hand in Spokane, WA out of 8-9oz leather (twice as thick as other "work" boots) and made to outwork even the biggest red arse.

Definitely takes some getting used to. Just switched back to lace-ups for work, and went with some Danners.

They look pretty slick, kind of remind me of of WWII jump boots.

Nice looking boots. Thx for the tip. I'm looking for a pair of lightly insulated pull on boots, but these folks only make lace up.

Best boots on the market are Thorogood, and they're American made.

Extremely comfortable, long lasting and you can get lace or pull on.

Lol. I have a pair of Thorogoods and they're fine for what they are, but they're not in the same class as JKs. Not even close.

Thorogoods are made out of lightweight leather and not handmade with the best parts. Like I said, I like my Thorogoods but they are NOT hard-core work boots.

JKs are one step below armor. I’d hate to see what you’re doing to wear those out.

the white soles are like wearing roller skates off of hard dry surface, and the pair I got were shite, L and R were different sizes/looked different. Same boots in the post above. Never again.

What model/sole are you using for working cattle? Looking at a pair for my dad who does a lot of farm chores.
