Need to buy wheels and tires and had a question for you:
315/75/R16 BFG KM2s.

Crawdaddy, what is the width of your Pro Comp Rims. 8" or 10"?

And did you have to regear for those tires? That's like a 34-35" tire right? I didn't even think that would fit on a 2.5" lift.

I was advised by a good friend who knows the owner to steer clear of any purchases there.
He give any reasons why? I ask because I was actually looking at several on his website tonight for my son. His prices are in line with book values within a few hundred. Seemed like a good place to go check out in person due to the large selection. Hoping to avoid any lemons/ dealer drama if possible...

Slidell has a guy selling nothing but Jeeps. All used all years
That place is Jesse's Jeeps and it has a large selection. I drove there and looked, but most of the Jeeps were priced to high and not in very good shape. He did have others that looked to be nice, but I wasn't paying over 20K on used Jeep. The guy was your typical used car salesman too. Kind of shady and slick.

Jessie's Jeeps is your typical used car lot. A bunch of high mileage used jeeps. Some better than others. Just know what you are looking for when going.

4:10 is my gears along with a 6 speed. I am ok with those gears so I will not change. If buying new, at least get the towing package for the best gears offered. From there if you feel the need you can re gear.
Yes a 35" tire will fit a 2.5 lift. Terraflex 2.5 coil lift providdes about 3 inches of lift. Teh Rock Krawlwer brand in 2.5 coil lift is slightly higher.

So I found a jeep that I am interested in. Its a 99 with the v6 4.0 and a 5 speed... Thoughts on this year/ engine? Seems to be in fair condition and they will bring it to my mechanic to have him look through it.

The white one?
I looked at it when it was by DQ. I'm just not ready yet.
