My father gave me a 28 guage antique shotgun prior to his death. It has 2 sets of barrels and all serial numbers match. Ser # 270962. I was told the year but I can't remember...I was told that it's an E Grade. Very pretty engraving and burled wood (walnut?) stock. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know enough about old Ithica's to give you a value but I suggest you never sell it.

Sounds like it's probably an extremely fine shotgun. Post some pictures

Sounds like a fine gun
On a related note I have an old double barrel 410 I haven't shot in years. Went to academy to pick some shells up and saw they were $15 a box

I don't know about the value of the gun, but it sounds like a fine one. It was probably a prized possession of your fathers, so I hope you never sell it.

You have something very special.
Shoot it with pride and respect.

Ole man left me his Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight. I love that gun. I need to get a steel shot barrel for it though if possible. With the ejection out the bottom you can shoot it right or left handed.
