Area 2
62° breezy
28 nosler
Sitting the ground in the area I think that buck I had on camera was coming from. It’s pretty thick in here. I figure if he’s going to move, it’s going to be in some thick stuff like this. Good luck!

Good luck to yall today. I am thinking about going this afternoon for a hunt, but it is supposed to be pretty windy. I'm not sure if I am mad at them enough to go sway in a tree all afternoon before the cold front settles in.

Late to the party. Drove in from overnighting in Corpus, spent most of the day confirming feeders are working and brushing some of our bow and turkey setups. Just got in the blind at 3:30.

Hunting a cull buck and a doe, then will pivot to turkeys. Saw well over 100 driving around this afternoon, there’s a group of 10, including 6 BIG gobblers under the feeder right now. Didn’t take my 12 gauge out of the truck, rookie mistake. :casty;

Didn’t see anything yesterday evening or this morning so I moved to a pipeline. I figured if I can see a long ways, maybe I’ll break the streak and actually see a deer. Hell I don’t care if it’s too small, just tired of not seeing deer lol

I started out hunting in a stand this afternoon overlooking a road into a food plot. It was a little too much swaying in the tree so I've migrated to a shooting house where I killed a spike last week. I am also looking for just about anything to keep filling up my freezer.

The only deer I've seen in recent weeks was a spike. I see more deer feeding in pastures driving around in the middle of the day than I do hunting.

I hope to follow the same path in 6.5 years.

Ended up seeing a small 8 that’s been running with the bigger buck. It was a good hunt.

I just looked over my notes and I haven’t seen a deer while hunting since last Monday, and it was a spike right at daylight. Either they aren’t moving during the day, I’m just not hunting the right spots, or a combination of the two. Hopefully they start chasing real soon, because I’m getting burnt out on hunting everyday and not seeing crap.
