Sitting on the ground because I was a little too late to mess with climbing sticks and a saddle. Practiced a little at the house but it still takes a while since I’m used to a climber. Sitting by some persimmon trees where I jumped a big group of deer while scouting the other day. Public land will be quiet today and tomorrow then the squirrel hunters are going to take over.

Got pretty jealous this morning as I was driving to work in the dark and saw all the trucks on the sides of the highway. Hope it flies straight for you fellas today!

When is the last time we got back to back cool fronts for opening day/weekend? Great weather.

I can’t recall an opening day as nice as this one. Usually I’m wiping sweat from my brow walking in on morning hunts

The first OB kill of the year should receive a free OB cooler

Seriously though congrats. Killing a deer with a bow is a great feeling

Saw deer legs in the distance walking in this afternoon. Slipped up the tree and heard them walking in behind me as I was putting my bow on the hook. A group of five came in behind me and smelled where I walked in. They eased off without stepping in the clear. We’ll see what else shows up.

20 ft ladder stand in SW Ms. went to turn thermal cell on and the fuel dropped out the bottom and off the stand. Debating whether I should get down and get it or not.
