Area 6 public
49° NE wind
Mathews phase 4
Hunted this tree Sunday evening. Got in late, around 4pm, pulled my bow up and immediately saw a doe and buck. They stopped around 60 yards out. The doe fed toward me with the buck behind her. She stopped at 45 yards and didn’t move an inch until 5:10pm. Then she walked to about 35 yards and stopped again until dark. He stayed in some thick stuff at about 50 yards.
Got in the same tree this morning. About 30 minutes ago a doe came trotting in with him behind her. She ended up walking within 20 yards of my tree. He stopped at about 50 yards and then angled around me to cut her off. I grunted but it didn’t work. He was upwind, and I’m almost 30’ up and hidden well. I have no clue why he stopped back there.
Words you will never hear me say lol

Good luck today, A_bear, and same for me! I hunted at least 3 times a week since the start of the season. Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be done but I'll probably do some scouting this weekend for S&Gs. I may even take my nice camera out to see if I can get some good pictures.

Dam sun you don't miss a day! You must have several freezers or be waiting on a world record.
Hope yall get a big'un! I'm at work and Area 2 rifle closed Sunday. I think I'll go back to Tensas this weekend in search of a hog and to help my BIL do a little camp repair.
