The only good truck gun for me is my .357 S&W 686. Revolver is the only way to go for me in my truck.

I want the glint of sunlight off my revolver to be the second to last sight a carjacker sees before the flash of me pulling the trigger.

For $1000 you could almost get a Ruger 1911 and a cheap 38 Spcl revolver or S&W Sigma for a truck gun.

Actually, the available online reviews look pretty good for the Girsan 1911. That's a good price for an entry level 1911, especially if it's available at that price. I agree in that an RIA/Citadel or Metro Arms/American Classic is prolly a safer bet, but I'd be surprised if you could even find one of these.
