What is so much better about the clothing to make it worth spending the extra money?

For Instagram posts, yes. For hunting, no.

Depends what you are doing.

Hunting in a box in the Southern piney woods? No

Bowhunting in the Mid-West? Yes

Mountain Hunting? Yes

You can achieve the same amount of warmth without wearing as many layers for bowhunting.

My stuff for out west is amazing for mountain hunting but not for bowhunting.

The gear is very hunt specific so there's no real way of getting a universal system for both

Look at KUIU and FirstLite too

I think it’s worth it if you’ve got gear specific to your hunting situation, and you hunt 60 days a year. For someone like me who hunts in a box stand 15 days a year? frick no

This. The negative is the camo pattern isn't very good for waterfowl.

which pattern isn't good for waterfowl?

I own a lot of Sitka. Not because I am rich but I hunt more places than south la. When you are in Canada you don't want 8 layers of cheap shite.

I mean is a $1500 bow worth it over a $500 bow?

In bad weather being comfortable is absolutely worth it. I own 0 Sitka but good clothing to be comfortable in fewer layers is worth big money.

This

However I am not going to blindly pay for the gear unless I have 1st hand reviews in my own hunting situation. I have made that mistake already.

"Worth the money" to me would mean its better than anything on the market by a distance great enough to equal the $$ value between it and the next comparable product. That answer is NO. There are plenty of products that are as good as or close to Sitka gear depending on application. And nothing in the Sitka lineup of products is so superior to the next competitor to justify that difference in price. Those are basic facts not opinions. Sorry not sorry. Yes I do own 3 pieces of Sitka gear. Pull over that I bought, Jacket that a company gave to me and a beanie.

you are wrong. Much like people saying professional athletes are not "worth the money? (Worth) is what eomrone is willing to pay for. And as long as people are willing to pay for sitka, its going to have worth.
