It's worth paying the extra money for fuel that is ethanol free for any motor IMO. I live near Houston and you can't find pure gasoline here - anywhere. I load up when i'm back in LA - full tank and gas cans. I drive a new chevrolet with "flex fuel" and have seen anywhere from 2-4 mpg (avg ~3) increase over using fuel that contains 10% ethanol. Even at a 2 mpg increase it is worth ~.40c/gal to break even, I just fueled up today in BR on my way home for 3.83 - about .23c more than 10% ethanol.

There is an app available i found from Puregas.org. It works pretty well when traveling.

Is it worth going out of my way for? How many miles extra per gallon usually?

1-2, and it won't frick up your fuel lines or primer bulb or carb, and it won't pull water into the gas, and it won't eat at your tank in a fiberglass boat, etc.

No idea. I never used it until some of these fockers scared me into it. My EFI loved the ethanol.

Why do so few gas stations use it?

Bridgeside has it, I have a half tank left from Saturday.

The second link posted had quite a few more stations listed than the pure gas link.

If you can't find any, at least use some stabil ethanol treatment

Definitely - 1 oz. per 5 gallons isn't overly expensive either. That ethanol will destroy your fuel lines over time.

Yes but if you don't then be sure not to let it sit in there while you aren't running it...
