I have some coming up in St Aug grass. Is now the time, too early or too late?

It’s probably warm enough to use some 2-4d at this point if you need. Not sure about pre emerge.

I put out atrazine in November and then I put out atrazine with msma in February. But I have Bermuda
As far as I know my yard had never been sprayed before last year when I moved in so I’m playing catch up. I may or may not keep hitting it twice when I get them under control.
Just depends on how it looks

Honestly don't know but I took a chance and put down weed free zone and prodiamine wdg yesterday. First time using prodiamine. Didn't know what to expect. That yellow shite made a mess.
Lost the battle to buttonweed last year and probably will again but not without a fight.

I also had to put down some weed free zone a week ago. I'm going to put down pre emergent later this month.

I would go ahead and apply the pre-emerge, as it has residual action...
I would wait until you see some good growth to spray though, as you only get good killing action when weeds are growing and that takes some warmer weather.

Yeah, i would have put pre-emerg down this weekend but wasn't sure if it would somehow negatively react with weed free zone....playing it safe and waiting.

I put down pre emergent on Friday in BR. There were some good links on a thread a little further down that had a link to soil temperatures. Looks like we will be hitting mid 50s soon so you may not be too late.

Pre-emergents are mainly broken down by soil microbes. These micros are also controlled by soil temperature. If the soil temperature is cold, no microbe activity occurs and the chemical sits in the soil unaffected. With that said, going earlier not later is a good policy to follow.
Lot of times, especially in southern climates, split applications work best.

I sprayed a 20 gallon tank of Celsuis yesterday. I was lazy this winter with my lawn care and it is really showing.

i was literally googling "too early to weed n feed my yard" on Saturday. Moved to a new house and the backyard is full of random weeds and clovers. I generally spot kill weeds but this entire yard, front and back, will need a good weed n feed.
So is it too early to weed n feed? I've always waited until mid march or so. but this is out of hand
