I agree with that.

It is no longer an accepted practice in NOPD. If it is done, it is by a rogue cop, and that could happen anywhere someone on a power trip has a badge.
I have lived here my whole life and most people I know own guns and keep one in the vehicle and home. I have not heard of a single seizure among the people I associate with. You make it sound like people should leave their guns at home when the come to New Orleans; I believe they should bring them.

I agree they should... just don't know if I would tell NOPD I had a gun in car unless they asked...

I know one person that it happened to and he fit no criminal profile...

I agree. When I originally read your earlier comment, I didn't realize you were referring to volunteering to the police that you have a gun. never do that.

lombards

Is that the little backdown between Textron and The Chef? That is open and will sell bait if they have it. I've never seen the name of it.

There were a couple restaurants by The Chef that did not rebuild, Barney's and the one by Marquez Canal.

I moved here three years ago and all we have is Louie's Chef Harbor Marina, an un-named launch by Ft McComb and the yellow bar, which is currently called the High Tide (formerly The Barnacle and then The Bayou.) It's a gas station, store, bar, restaurant and sometimes a nightclub if the right band shows up.
