Insurance when shipping gun parts, how much?

Shipped my pistol slide off and I’m regretting not insuring the package for more. Anxiously watching the tracking information now that I saw what the replacement part cost.
I sent the firing pin block, the FPB spring, the firing pin and the firing pin spring with it as well...all regrets now looking at their availability.
Slide is getting some HD night sights.
The slide has a serial number on it as well, what happens if you purchase a replacement slide, they stamp it with the original number? Is that why just the slide is $600? HK Parts link
I have to declare the insurances value for return shipping....$1000?
Hoping that little box makes the first leg.

You shipped the slide only to have Trijicon HD’s installed? You could have bought a sight pusher from MGW on Brownells for about $100 or brought it to your LGS who likely has a universal sight pusher...

By all accounts it’s a real PITA to get the old ones off.
ETA: putting the slide in an armorer’s hands is MUCH easier than shipping the full weapon.

Your P30?
I have a site pusher and it was extremely easy to replace the sites on my USP
Not sure if the P30 is more difficult or not.

P2000...it’s the odd ball slide.
