Want to bring 8yr old boy fishing.
Looking for a Saturday trip.

Go to Pass Christian.
Hook up with Shore Thing for a LA Marsh Trip- any of the guys are good, but Darien Ladner or Kenny Shiyou are personally GREAT with kids.
Then y’all can go to the Blind Tiger or something in BSL on the way home- make a day out of it.

My dad runs a charter out of Myrtle Grove. If you are interested I can send you his information

Elton with Catch Dat out of Dularge is great with kids.

We just got home a little while ago from Dularge. We fished with Capt Travis Lovell. It was my and my 3 kids ages 16,11, and 9. They absolutely had a great time and caught more fish than they ever have before. My little girl (9) didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend him.

I wouldn't do Venice for inshore. I mean, it's great fishing, but you're going to pay more for the same fish as a lot of other nearby places.
On the Pass Christian suggestion, you'd be making a short run across to the Biloxi marsh most likely. So, LA limits with better amenities than most of the fishing areas in south LA. Bunch of great guides over this way.

How do limits like that work? You can catch an LA limit even when you launch out of MS as long as you fish LA waters?

If you want to catch fish, go to bayou Charters.

Yes. You could still stop in MS to fish IF you are within the MS limits on all your fish. Otherwise, fish LA and then just run back to the dock.

I'll keep that in mind, I have a boat on order and usually fish out of Dularge/Grand Isle/Cocodrie. Pass Christian is much closer to launch if I can make the run back to Louisiana to find some good fishing holes.

I wouldn’t say the run is short out of Pass Christian to LA waters. I’ve heard good things about shore thing, but depending on where you are driving from I would think it’s better from St. Bernard.

They use the Pass as well now, along with several other Pass guides on the old side of the harbor.
