This is about the time IC starts to produce some solid fish. Thinking of bringing the Hobie there this weekend to try and sneak up on a few fish. Has anyone heard of anything being caught out there? AlxTgr, Neck, JorconAlx any of y'all been recently?

Not yet, but it’s time. All and I were just texting about this

I'm listening. I am trying to decide on a place to fish this weekend.

This early? I thought it usually happened around the end of the month or early march.

I think Millers Lake is probably getting close, as someone else said, first two weeks of March, i would think IC will be getting right

Anytime from February to March you can get on them. I guess I'll give it a go and report back. The biggest question is where to put in, at the campground and fish behind the hatchery or off the dirt road and fish the north end of the lake.

They are biting right now. How do I know? I checked my carport.
Probably going there soon. Don't like high water at Spring bayou. Maybe even in my yak because of limitations with my bay boat. So much work though.

quote:Right now with this kind of weather is prime Rapala against the bank time. Also, deep slow swim bait time.

Decent chance. I am born and raised in Cenla. Went to LSU for school and moved back.

That's why I am taking the Hobie. With my luck I would hit a stump in the Blue Wave. It drafts a bit too deep for my comfort level. Shoot me an email DrunkenCrawfishTD@gmail.com if you feel like coming with on Sunday.

Is this place full of stumps? Are there marked lanes?
