Ruger GP-100 is my favorite hands down as far as just a good general use gun.
Ruger Blackhawk or Super Blackhawk for hunting/shooting only.
Ruger SP101 for self defense.
I'm a huge fan of ruger handguns

That shite is beautiful, I got a older friend back home that I've been hinting at obtaining his because he talked about selling them..

My buddy has a gun just like that except with a 4 5/8 barrel. Damn thing is accurate as hell. Not sure how that happened. A 12" gong at 50 yards is repeatable offhand. Sweet arse gun and the looks are second to none.

They're bad... my buddy has a nickle plated cattleman that is just as beautiful.
You can go the cheaper route and by a heritage rough rider .22 for a camp plinker.

i have had Ruger, HK, Sig, Walther and currently have Glock and CZ. CZ 75 BD is by far my favorite.
