Last time I was there I walked into the entrance, whistled very loudly, flipped off the whole store, then left.

Saw a guy offering it for trade on one of those Facebook "swap shop" pages. I messaged him. He wanted $650 cash which I thought was too much and told him. He then told me that he has a cheaper Mossberg Tactical 22 for sale also. I told him that I had the same gun and was looking to get rid of it due to it being cheaply made. Guy told me to make him an offer including the Mossberg + cash so I said $300 + the mossberg and he accepted. Picked it up Sunday in Port Vincent. The 15-22 was brand new, unfired, still in the box. I haven't shot it yet. I have a bipod for it off my mossberg so I don't need sandbags. Also have the scope off of my mossberg too but need to get elevated rings for it.
Hoping to go shoot it this weekend if it isn't too cold and/or windy.

Academy is the wal mart of sporting goods.
Nobody knows what they're taking about and can't help you with shite, but you can find almost everything you need in one place and its the cheapest.

In what ways? Not convenience. Not prices. Not selection (on most things). Academy is less crowded.
The only reason that I go to Bass Pro is because my parents live in Denham. I will never buy a gun from there after talking to their gun guys. I dont go to Cabelas because of the far distance and high prices. Also, 51% of the store is not aimed at LA outdoors.

Don't really go to BP too much because sales tax is higher in the LP. Don't wanna give anymore money to the man than I have to.

I was referring to quality of the merchandise. To me alot of things at Academy seem cheap, especially the hunting clothes.

Weagle, I dont buy camo from there so I honestly dont know. I do know that both places carry their own brands and the mainstream brands too.
