Kangaroo leather is pretty tough. I know some guys who wear them and say they are comfortable. Not cheap.

But if you are fighting the briars, I'g get a pair of comfortable snake boots. Kinda solves two problems, and then you can sic the bird on the snake.

Military Surplus combat boots. Tough, cheap and easy to replace.

There's a couple of enormous eurasian doves here that are either living a charmed life or are too big for that Sharp shin to take on. They're almost big as he is.

I had a pair and they were fairly comfortable. I was surprised. Maybe I should check the surplus store. How much do they normally run?

I had the brown ones. Great for summertime. Good ventilation.

I use kangaroo leather for most of my bird's gear. It is tough stuff. It's $100+ for a small hide though.

Awesome! Can I fit 33's on it with a 2.5" lift, or should I go with 4"?

The only thing I don't like about combat boots is that they have grooves for traction on the soles. Great if you need it, but if you don't then it makes them tough to clean when mud, dog shite, manure etc gets in those grooves.
