Movie board put I feel the OB will have better opinions on the best military movie. I'm going with black hawk down, worst by far is hurt locker.

Hard to argue with that, better book than movie though. Saving private Ryan is another good one

Black hawk down is one of my favorites of all time.

Saving private Ryan is good.

Best comedy has to be Full Metal Jacket

Yeah Band of Brothers and Pacific were both series. But it takes a whole mini series for that war.

Saving Private Ryan
Band of Brothers
We Were Soldiers
Stripes

I remember seeing Saving Private Ryan at the theatre. It really shook me up....especially the opening scene. I was warned but nothing could have prepared me for it. I remember walking out of the packed theatre an there was complete silence...except for the sound of a few people crying. Tom Hanks was fantastic in that movie.

Hurt locker was the most unrealistic movie I've ever seen. I worked with eod a lot in my 3 tours. I have a lot of respect for them and what they do but the whole movie is a farce. They never went anywhere unescorted and the movie lost me when they take the 50 from the sf guys and start knocking down targets.

Yeah I haven't seen pacific yet, was it as good as BOB?

I don't know why but I've never been as intrigued about the battles if the pacific as I have Europe. Seems like a completely different war to me.
