Agree, but I still had a coyote come up on my patio and grab our cat.

Patio is in between two rooms of the house and covered.

Trapping is not that easy.I used to ride with old guy that trapped for some hunting clubs. He would catch 30-40 a season but he would have 50-60 traps set.He set them on roads and would just ride by in his truck so it was pretty easy to check his sets.I’ve caught a couple with snares but they are non selective so you might catch your neighbors dog.
I find them easy to call with game caller, getting a shot is not easy. They’ll run all around you ,it’s not like the videos you see calling them out west where they run up and stop and let you shoot them.
I think they’re here to stay like the feral hogs.

Ever time I check my cameras I have 2-3 different yotes on them. I’ve tried trapping. First I catch every possum in the area. Then I catch the coyote that has mange if their is one in the area. Every damn time. Then I don’t catch shite.

For those talking about soaking a sponge... it’s bullshite. I have a pic proof they will shite that stuff back out. Guess the neighbors had tried it.

Xylitol is an artificial sweetener that’s only poisonous to k-9s. Some folks make meatballs with it. So I’ve heard

I've never tried trapping personally but my dad hired a trapper last year, caught half dozen coyotes on a few hundred acres. I think to really control them you would have to trap year round. Otherwise you just kill a few and others move in to replace them.

Well the ones I have seem to be fawn specialist so hopefully their replacements will be more partial to small game.

When you kill a coyote, the other females in the pack produce more offspring. You're better off learning how to live with them.
