Hasn’t the beef industry been down the last couple of years? I know beef prices are up currently but that’s a more recent swing right?
There’s a ton of factors that go into beef and alfalfa fields than just the industry size itself.
As said, it both industries have been around forever and CWD is relatively new. Evenif directly related you have to assume it’s not a major correlation.

Cwd has been around longer than we know.
I don’t get the alfalfa-CWD angle. People have been feeding horses alfalfa hay for a hundred years.
