Do you shred it or burn it come late August? I planted some last weekend and looking for the best way to manipulate it come hunting season

Spray 1 month before opening day with roundup and burn 1 week before opening day

My buddies got a sunflower field going in Ray-Vegas. From what they have told me it is looking good.

Spray it with Sodium Chlorate a couple weeks before the season, then bush hog lanes through like 25% of it when it dies. Bush hog some more a couple weeks after the season starts or a week before your second season.

burn first of august. disk it all up, pour the chopped corn, wheat, sunflower seeds. and then blast 6 or 700 opening day

is there an advantage to using the sodium chlorate over Roundup?

Dove field planting will happen Saturday or Sunday morning. Talked to my dad and he already has the seed. Should be ready for about the second week of the season maybe the first.

This was my patch at the house this past weekend. Have caught a couple rains since then and the heads are getting bigger by the day. A little more grassy than I want but have a pretty good stand this year.
