Have we discussed this before? I am on IH8mud too. Been off for awhile but recently back on when I got my 200 last week.

never herd that, knock wood.

They might have been buzzing up a storm, but so was the motor and the waves banging on the hull probably didn't help.

No, but I figured you were there.

I haven't been on there in the last few years. I used to live on that site.

Yup, had the line hover too. That's a wicked feeling that I'd never like to have again. Rain, wind, waves, I'm good. Zeus starts throwing shite, I'm out.

I've heard it a couple times. Out near whiskey pass catching some nice trout. At first we ignored it but when all 3 rods started buzzing and line started to float we decided it was time to go. As we ran across Lake Pelto the temperature dropped the smell of the air changed and we knew we were fricked. The storm only last 15 minutes or so but it was a scary 15 minutes.

I have....scared the crap out of me. We were at a camp on the water and went out right after a storm passed through. Sun was shining. Rods started buzzing. We layed the rods down and hauled azz back to the camp.

Also had the outriggers shock me once while offshore. We were way out and driving through a rain storm. Can't remember why I reached out of the cockpit for an outrigger, but it shocked the hell out of me. I told Capt and he grabbed other side and it shocked him. He said "uh oh"...

I had a line and bait just hang in the air once. I decided it was time to quit.

When I was 17 I went on a trip out to the Pickets. Storm came up on us FAST and we started to leave. Bolt hit the water right next to the boat and you could hear the water boil. Damndest thing you ever heard. My cousin pissed himself and I would have if I hadn't taken a leak like 10 minutes before it happened.

I haven't had a bilge pump in a couple years so it's been a while that I ventured out in iffy weather but I've had a few scary moments standing on the poling platform with a 24 foot lighting rod in my hands.
