How long does deer sausage keep?

Just found a pack in the freezer a few years old. Doesn't appear to be freezer burnt.

It will keep way longer if he used curing salt in it. Either way Id prolly still eat it.

Sausage lasts long in a freezer. It's almost like ground meat. Plus, like Alx said, smoked adds to that time.

When you thaw it out you should have an idea. If it smells the freezer too bad it may not be good. If you're not sure, cook it and if it still smells the freezer, give it to the dog/cat.
