If I'm 25 and renewing my license, why do I always have to show my hunters ed card? Does everybody still do this, even old men?

If you had to get one I'm pretty sure you'll always have to show it. Everyone born after a certain date has to have one to hunt, can't remember the date

Its almost worn off all words on it, so I'm pretty sure you can't read anything that was written on it. Not sure if I have to get a new one or what? I think I can just give him my driver's license number and they can pull up my info, ccorrect?

Just another benefit of having lifetime license. I went ahead and got them for Louisiana and Mississippi. I figured it was part of my retirement plan so the money part wouldn't hurt so bad.

I'm pretty sure. I've been doing mine online for a few years and I just have to enter my hunters safety number which is on the card, but I'm pretty sure that when I enter my drivers license # it pulls up my info from the previous year and I just have to verify it.

I always buy mine online and since my hunters ed # is on my old license it's convenient for me to punch in. This is for a Mississippi license though.

Even with a lifetime license you still have to keep a hunters ed card with you while you are hunting.

Isn't there some loophole in the law that you can buy a license and hunt (w/o a safety card) as long as you are within 10 feet of another hunter who possesses one?

I was trying to tell my buddy he had to have one and he went online and got the license w/o the card

You sure about that? I've never been asked for a hunters ed card when being checked by WLF.

No sir. Your life time license has your Hunters Ed # on it. No need for both.
