Ive seen people attach to a stake out pole and get alternate view of the angler/boat. Ive also seen it used same way but camera below water on stake out pole to get the lure action. Something like that might work.

Said he edited it to a few clips. As for the school it was some mullet right? I use to despise those things until an old timer showed me how smoke 'em. Damn good with a cold one and some "white" bread. Even better stripping the meat and making a fish spread and slapping it on some crackers.
