Cant you print out your own tags now when you pay online? Can't someone just keep reprinting and never report it to the LDWF? Doesnt that kind of make useless any argument that the tagging requirements must be strictly enforced to the letter to prevent people from killing more than 6 deer?

I don't know how it works, but I bet if you report 6 deer, they aren't going to let you reprint 6 tags.
If you aren't reporting the deer, why even put the tag on? That's another place where I would follow up on...if you hadn't reported it when I checked you, guess what? I'm recording the time and the tag number, and if it hasn't been reported within the timeframe required, I'll be knocking on your door.
It's really not asking much to fill out a tag, put it on a deer, and call it in. People are just lazy and don't want to follow the laws because they believe they are pointless. Then those same people are the ones who complain about deer management and lack of deer.

I don't believe they all are, but damn near every one I've ever met has been somewhat of a prick. And for no good reason other than to be one I guess. Hell, I've tried to make small talk with them after everything was checked and good, and they still act like pricks.
There's one at Clear Creek that is a pretty good guy. Any other one I've met...not so much.
ETA: Especially the a-hole at Sabine NWR--that clown made me and 2 of my buddies divide up 8 ducks one time so he could tell who shot what. We had 1 pintail, 3 gadwall, and a handful of teal.

Just curious....
This was private land? We own our place and can’t get a GW to stop by. We’ve tried in hopes of trespassers seeing him around and keeping them at bay. Green jeans never comes around.
I was jut wondering if they go on private property a lot.

there is an easy fix for that. I bring a ziplock and a golf ball. I put the tag in the ziplock with the golf ball and shove it up the deer's arse hole. seriously.
A pack of small zip-ties is like a dollar. Thats the better route than shoving something in a deers arse.
The tag system is bullshite. If someone is going to kill 10 deer, a deer tag is useless. How many people really tag a deer on private property? Probably not many.

If they are gonna write tickets like that, they need to issue us tags. I get my tags online, they have never mailed me the tags. I print them on paper.
Attn: LDWF, it rains occasionally in La. so I keep my paper tags in my truck. I generally write them up in my dry truck so that I can put my paper tag on my deer so it can get wet and disintegrate
That fine us fricking outrageous, the agents that come into our camp get offered coffee, food, waters.....if they write me up for something like that I doubt I would ever speak to em again.
