That's awesome. We used to do this pretty often at our place until our neighbor convinced my dad the dogs will run deer as well so he put an end to it. Still do it occasionally but not near as often as I'd like. Very effective way to kill hogs but have seen some pretty brutal injuries to dogs in the process.

Someone told me too many hogs will end good deer hunting. I don't know how, why, or even if it's true.

Deer will simply move to a location where they don't need to compete with hogs if food is scarce. If the area has plenty of food the two will somewhat cohabitate.

Here's an idea.

Find a spot in Texas full of hogs. Release about 3 prides of lions and watch the fun begin.

Not serious, but it would be awesome.

I'm all for ridding the Hogs, but I'm a dog lover too. Those are hard to look at.

I'm not trying to paint a peachy picture because I feel the same way, But the dog that is cut in my pic has been cut a few times before and loves to hunt. Its owner rides it on top of tool box and when it smells a hog the dog bails off and the hunt is on.

we use vest on all of our dogs(bay and catch) and havent lost one or had any major damage since we went to the new vest.

I will get the name and model on the vest. It will
prevent all of those cuts.

hog hunting with dogs is a blast. Ill gopro our next outing and post for yal.
