Anyone have any experience with installing a High Speed Magnet on their club car golf cart motor to get more speed out of it? Which magnet did you buy? The cheap IQ one from Amazon or a more expensive?

I think it’s like 4 bolts by the back axle and a pig tail. Unscrew/plug old one and slide new one in and bolt up and plug in. Youtube and cart forums are your friend.

Yeah seems simple, guess I was trying to see if anyone has one installed and if it worked for them or not. Thanks!

What year is your cart? These work on the older ones but anything relatively new (last 10-ish years or so) will require a speed code upgrade to the controller.

Yeah it’s newer. It’s a 2019.

Are these high speed magnets for electric, gas or both?

Skip the magnet then. Call around to some local cart places and see if they will upgrade to to Speed Code 4. Should be around $100 so it's not expensive, it's just a PITA to bring the cart to them...

With stock tires, I think that is good for around 19mph. Larger tires will add a couple mph but power wise, you are probably limited to 22-25mph on the stock controller.

All the speed code does is move the RPM limiter...

My cart runs around 16mph right now. With brand new batteries.

Get with Golf Carts Modified and do the Navitas AC conversion. My cart runs 41mph and will pull wheelies with the 600amp 5kw Navitas on a 70v lithium battery.

If you do both the 70v lithium and the AC kit yes. But the ac kit runs and preforms great on lead acid batteries. Run time won’t be as good as lithium but it will still go fast and be a fun cart to drive.

Wow, your golf cart can go 41 mph? Is that like the NASCAR model because that seems quite dangerous for a golf cart to go that fast. I would just be concerned with a child getting a hold of it and it becoming a death trap!

Can control the speed through the app or the controller on the cart. Then you lock it so the kids can’t change it. Also as far as stability I have spacers on it and a an arm style lift as well as added a sway bar so it’s really stable.

Haven’t had to change yet. I don’t run it wide open all the time. Most of the time it’s at 50% and stops fine.
