Not to hijack this thread but is the inventory on SxS getting any better? I was told a few months back that it would be at least January before they expected any new inventory and that was at one of the Powerhouse Honda dealers in North La. Said it might be late spring before the regular dealers got much inventory.

Had a John Deere 825i. Ride smoothness is unmatched. Will haul a lot with no problem (15 sacks of feed at 50lb each) plenty of low end torque, slow (35 mph) Doesn't like water at all, belt cover is not sealed. A new one is priced too high for what you're getting.
Bought a Can Am HD10 Max XMR. Do heavy feeding and extreme mudding. 2500 miles, no problems.
Speaking of the mudding and harsh treatment, the Polaris' are holding up terribly. Transmission, differential and motors. The few Hondas out there hold up fine, seem to get stuck more often (may be an operator problem ??)
Don't know much about the other brands, other than the Kubotas used to ride terribly.

Why in the compound hell would you stand in the gut bucket/pool while you're gutting a deer?

Throw my vote in for the polaris lineup for overall functionality. Honda probably last longer as Honda always does, but i absolutely love my polaris ranger.

Put a deposit on a black LE model yesterday at R/T Powersports in Brookhaven. They said it was due in before the end of 2021, so should be the next one they get in.

I'm next in line for a silver SE from there.

Haha, she said if I wanted silver I'd be second in line. Guess I know why! I wanted green or camo, but the black LE looked slick (comes with top and upgraded wheels), and is supposed to be the next one they get. So I put deposit on the black LE.

Thanks for letting me know about putting in a deposit. I missed out on the camo one they had few weeks ago, because someone got there the next day before I could.

what are the brands you see on the Duck Commander hunting videos where they drive out into the water? I see other videos of different guys driving them out in semi deep water and breaking up ice. Probably not a big deal in La for ice, but I'd figure if its for duck hunting or deer hunting (or just riding trails and mud hogging), you'd want a brand that operates well in water and mud.

I have the Kawasaki FXT pro 1000 cc, Mule in camo It’s bullet proof and a great work/hunting camp tool. Never had any issues with it and we treat it like an ugly step child.

It works great in mud and water. We retrieve decoys with it from time to time and never flooded out, but you have to be careful

Love my Kubota X1140. The lift bed is handy. And love the fact I can configure it in 2 or 4 seat mode.

100% get one with two rows of seats. Although you may not think important now, the ability to hit 60 mph+ comes in very handy.

My buddy has an old school Gator, it has metal in places others have plastic, I love that thing, but too slow for me.

Lol, where are you driving this thing? I couldn’t hit 40mph on my property much less 60.

But when the kids get older you may want to get into trail riding or they may be made legal for on the road riding, trust me get one that will hit 60+. There's lots of reasons, think long term, not just today.

What trails are you able to drive 60+mph on? Even riding on roads, I would have no need to go 60mph.

Between parking areas and trails and between trails can be some distance. My buddy brought his Gator last year and all the other SxS where half way through before he even go to the trail, plus on many parts of the trail he couldn't keep up.
