This is a subtle “I can afford a Tacoma” brag.

We almost slid the truck down a cliff on a gravel road outside of steamboat springs 2 years ago on an iced over mud hole. I think my butthole sucked all the foam out of the seat. Never again. I never take my chains out the toolbox anymore

I’ve got one set of chains. Going to tire store in the morning to see if they have the low profile cable chains for the front.

Beautiful and clean park.
Douglas provides a great service with this one.

Dropped my antelope off at the taxidermist.
He says it’s most likely a B&C buck.
That’s pretty neat.

You killed a Booner and it’s not your style of hunting. That’s funny . Congrats on a great one. Antelope might be my favorite hunt. You’ve got the camaraderie of a dove hunt with the excitement of big game.

That’s the way it goes.
I took a buddy to my honey hole last season. He hadn’t killed a trophy before, but he got a buck of a lifetime that day. Monster 10ptr.

I'm built more for riding around in a truck on BLM roads while sipping coffee and listening to the radio while I glass a couple hundred antelope each day.
I liked it, but was a little disappointed that it’s not more of a “wilderness experience”.
There’s certainly nothing wrong with it and I had a good time. Part of my disappointment was due to having to condense my hunt to 1 1/2 days due to the winter storm that blew in. We weren’t able to locate & stalk like we had planned. It worked out for me as I got lucky with a true trophy, but my buddy didn’t get as good of a goat as he had hoped.
My next western adventure will probably be mule deer, but I’ll probably try a public land archery hunt up in Iowa first.
If any of you baws ever need a podnuh for an adventure hunt, hit me up. It’s hard to find folks sometimes and I’m pretty flexible on style, game, accommodations, and location.

That's the truth. We would have never stopped there if the park wasn't there.

I have hunted both public and private lands in Wyoming and CO. I will never hunt public again after experiencing hunting quality private ranches. To the guys who hunt public and like it, I tip my hat to you. I prefer to hunt large areas with no other groups due to safety issues. The cost/reward difference between public and private land hunts often is not that much. The key is making contacts with landowners and cutting out the outfitters. Either way you go, hunting out West is great and the highlights of my hunting years.
