quote:About 1 year ago (end of March 2020), I bought some "loose" 308 from ammoman(dot com). They had some boxes busted from shipping, so they scooped them into bags of 50, for $20 a bag. It was all brass Armscor FMJ, I think it was their 150gr stuff. I spent $100 for 5 bags, which was about all they had left.
What did 308 (7.62x51) ball ammo used to go for? I keep seeing it at places like Walmart and Atwoods and the like but it's they're selling it for like $1.10-ish/rd.
So for that, it was 40 cents a rd, I assume it was a bit higher if it would have been boxed.

I don’t mind steel except the indoor range doesn’t allow it.
Both my ARs do fine with Silver Bear, and for that matter Tula. I was fortunate (proactive) enough to grab a couple cases when the Tula was 25 cents, and the Silver Bear was 30.
I have brass in everything, but I'm only shooting steel for now. Have yet to own a gun, long or pistol, that doesn't chew that stuff and keep on chugging.

You are part of the problem.
What the hell man? I’m part of the problem because I bought a 10/22 over the holidays and I shot the remaining plinking rounds I had and want to be able to shoot it and use it?
I have 300 rounds of cci and Winchester hollow points. Don’t think that’s unreasonable.
You’re really gonna be pissed when you find out how much 223 and 556 I’ve been buying.
