Has any of the OB gotten lasik before?

I had it done about 15 years ago. Have had zero problems with it. I'm 45 now and will probably have to start wearing reading glasses in the next few years. My doctor told me when I had it done it may accelerate the need for reading glasses but I don't need them yet. It's nice to be able to just buy a regular pair of sunglasses.

Had mine done by Dr William Mitchell in Huntsville AL.

It is not being able to see far away. I am nearsighted

I had mine done 16yrs ago next month.

Best money I've ever spent. I was 20/15 for 12yrs but I have developed a slight astigmatism. I'm still 20/20 but with my glasses I'm back to 20/15. Yes, that's better than "perfect"

I only wear the glasses at night when driving.

My wife had it done 10ish years ago. She actually had epi-lasik on one eye but had issues after the surgery. She's fine now but it took about 3-4 months before she was ok. Part of it was the medicine they gave her. She had lasik on the other eye and adjusted her medicine and had zero issues.

Oh, I went duck hunting 3 or 4 days after my surgery. 1st hunt with "new" eyes was a wonderful experience.

I did the surgery because: 1. I was pretty bad, like 20/700 (like you) and 2. I had been wearing contacts for 14 years. I thought that was enough.

Oh, the most amazing thing to me was they told me to go home and lay down and take a nap. I really couldn't see immediately after the surgery. Eyes felt like they had sand in them.

Woke up and I could see. Walked downstairs and told my wife I could actually see. Amazing thing.

And Like highcotton said. I will need reading glasses as well. Don't need them yet but I can tell it's coming....

Exactly. I didn’t know it was possible to see individual leaves on a tree.

Had it about 8-9 years ago. Greatest decision ever.

My sight went from reallllly bad to 20/20 or better in both eyes

One eye was 20/65 and the other was like 20/130. Of something like that.

Had it done 30 years ago, I am now at the point of needing reading glasses when it’s dim.

Your going to love it, remember the days of the glasses slipping and fogging up when doing strenuous things. Gone

Especially during the summer and getting muddy water on them
