When did you get your Abu inshore? I'm not too impressed with mine either, but I've read good reviews about the new inshore they released this year.

I think I need one more rod and reel combo. Probably go with another Citica or a Johnny Morris. Never been a fan of Abu.

Since I'm new to the fishing game, I could use a little help on patterning these fish. I'm fishing a two and a half acre pond and while I'm not catching many fish, I catch a beauty like this about every one and a half times around the pond. Im using a 3/8oz spinner bait and each one has been hugging the bank. Will it typically be this way through the spawn? Late last summer I was able to catch them in the cover with soft plastics. It appears it'll be some time before the cover returns.

Fish SLOW until the water warms up. Creature baits are where it's at right now. Or you can take me and I'll show you

I picked mine up March of last year. I put 17 pound test on it and it didn't cast near as good as my Curado's. I down sized the line to 15 pound fluoro and it cast much better but then the Anti reverse went out.

i've have ponds in the st. francisville area and both of them turn on and off with the major/minor moon phases RELIGIOUSLY. either get an app for your phone that shows when the major/minor is thru the day or get the cascio watch that will do the same thing.
