rifles just aren't that easy to keep hidden from kids, grandkids, etc.

That's what a gun safe is for.

I thought that gun safes were to keep you from accessing your arms in a hurry when you really neeed them. Kinda like requiring the storing of arms and ammunition separately under lock and key.

We knew discipline and were taught that all guns in the house were always loaded because an empty gun is just a damned ackward club.

Gun Ownership requirement...

Do you own a boat?

Shot placement is everything, under duress a larger caliber is better.

Many a military and police force carried a .32, you'll be fine.

the best gun is the one that fits your hand comfortably and that you are proficient with. You definitely need some time on the range and be comfortable in knowing the gun.

If this not the case than I would suggest a 38 revolver.. point, aim and shoot,,, The safety is the trigger..or specifically the judge loaded with .410 buckshot

but years ago i bought a cheap double barrel 12 gauge and took it to a gunsmith who cut it down...

The question I want to know is this... In the Zombie Apocalypse or ???? ???? ??? ????... What gun would be better, The AR15, SKS, or the AK47?

It wouldn't be my first choice. Grab a 9mm and call it a day.

At this point, for no other reason than easy ammo availability.

Does a 32 cal. pistol have enough stopping power
Pea shooter. I would suggest a conceal carry enhanced training if you are asking questions like this. Many options for stopping power but probably a shotgun if you aren't proficient with firearms. I have a turkey gun with a 2x double full choke with #4 in my bedroom, just because. I have several 9mm semi's that stay close. I recently bought a short barrel 12 but the only shells I could get at the time was steel shot 3/2s. My wife has a .380 with a hollow point and hand grip safety.

judge magnum, load 1st chamber with a 3" home defense .410 shotgun shell and the second with a 45 long colt and repeat till cylinder is full. 1st shot you will not miss and it will knock em down. second shot can now be placed on a non moving target. .
