Grand Isle Power Outage - any news?

Been out for about 45 minutes at the camp. Daiquiri shop didn't know much...anybody got power?

yeah the power went out on Wednesday night for most of the island...didn't get turned on till late.

Left the boat on the trailer when I saw what kinda shite show it was gonna be at the launches. Waded into the surf. Caught 13 legit keepers (14" and up). Biggest was 21". Not a bad day over all.

Ended up with about 15 trout and a few reds. Couldn't get a bite on elmers without live shrimp. Ended up going to get some after boats with shrimp were pulling trout out of the same water we were fishing.
Came back and caught about 25-30 trout. A lot of undersized trout. Then hooked into a big arse jack that pulled me over a mile in the yak. Caught a few reds and a few more trout. Biggest about 18"
Talked to people on elmers. Said they habe caught 700 trout over the last 4 days, all on topwater. Only caught 10 this morning.
Having a cold one at the hurricane hole.
Came back and caught about 25-30 trout. A lot of undersized trout. Then hooked into a big arse jack that pulled me over a mile in the yak. Caught a few reds and a few more trout. Biggest about 18"

Caught mine on live shrimp too. They wouldn't even look at a croaker. Earlier this week I was next to a boat that was fishing with croakers while we were using shrimp. We were both catching, but they were catching 17-18" consistently while we were catching 14-15".

I'm beat. Me and mannymo hit it all day. Only managed some school trout. Found a few reds. The gulf was so calm we ran out to some close rigs. Had a lot of fun with the bull reds. Mackerel , and black tips.
