I've made my feelings on XD's known several times.... I'd look at a Glock or M&P. If you don't like them then maybe go back at look for an XD.

XD is a great pistol, it was my first pistol and I still love it. It's not a great defensive pistol, but I usually only bring mine in the woods.
If you want a reliable defensive handgun, look somewhere else.
If I found one for $450 or less I'd jump on it without hesitation. $500 is the max I would pay for one if I really wanted one.

I just sold Silver/Black for $550 two weekends ago. $500-$550 is about the going rate for them... At least on the 4" service model. Sub Compact and 5" model prices vary.

I'm thinking about ditching my XDSC 9 in the coming weeks. Will probably use funds toward the purchase of a couple of Glocks.

Go shoot a CZ Duty 7 or better yet, the new 9. If the 9 gets released in 10 or 357, thats my next purchase.
