Good spot to fly fish in Baton Rouge without a boat?

Im trying to get back into to fly fishing, looking for a good spot to go to that is accessible without a boat.

All seriousness, make the drive down to NOLA and head down to Vets Highway. The canal between the two sides holds carp, bass, and bream. Park at the Jefferson Public Library and walk the banks.
Catching carp on the fly is a blast. Look for the ones eating on the banks, you’ll see fish with puffs of mud around them. Any bug pattern in front of them and they will eat.
Don’t worry about the ones swimming in the middle of the canal.
They get spooked easily but are strong and jumpy when hooked.
I’ve used at 6wt in the past...4 wt would work but you will get broken off a few times.

Not sure where he's talking but at the end of the N/W trail at Blackwater you can get down to a small beach. There's probably access at Frenchtown but we always head down the train tracks to beach at the Amite.

I normally just park at any of the bridges near/north of
Zachary and wade from there. Terrestrial and poppers do well for spotted bass, long ear, blue gill.

This may be great advice for all I know, but picturing this in my head makes me laugh.

This is an old post but what's the best place around the northshore to catch carp on the fly? I have a kayak I can use.

An old retired guy I know is a drainage canal fisherman in East Jefferson and he told me that the canal that runs along Joe Yenni Blvd (used to be Sunset Blvd) in Kenner is overall the best canal to fish. He catches some nice bass fishing there.
