Watch out Lester, for some reason and I'm not quite sure why, there are a few women who start crying if they think your trying to sell something on this site. Seems to me they can choose to read or not read whatever topic they want. But who knows, someone with my limited amout of posts is probably wrong. Good luck on your sale and I hope you get what your asking from someone off this forum.

I personally don't have a problem with the regulars passing on a deal to the board, but when you allow that shite all the time then the board will turn into a f'n swap shop. Maybe we need a swap shop board. I don't know, but the ob is for killin and catching shite, not gettin rid of maw maws ole douche bag.

yeah you do

I dont see a damn thing wrong with a TD poster tryin to sell outdoor stuff to another TD poster.

Too Bad For the folks who arent members here IF they miss out on a deal.....thats their problem.
Ide rather fellow LSU fans or at least TDers get a shot at a deal than some random.

And hey if its not a deal than dismiss it or better yet crap on it but substantiate your opinion.

The sandy vags on this board who police the sale of things are as bad as the internet grammar police or the tough guy internet club.

(That was not directed at ADMINS as it is their job to police the board)

Some boards here need this as a sticky. Way too many hall monitors on TD in general.

Not at this time...in the future, we will have a Classified page for things like that, but I don't want the forums to become a Craig's List...thanks

have a S&W .38 special +P(bought brand new, never fired) looking to get rid of.

any tips?

bayoushooter or LAsportsman as previously stated. Also, don't waste too much time digging up the receipt because the price you paid for the gun has little to nothing to do with it's value now. It could be worth more or less, probably the latter. Check gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com to see what the gun is SELLING for now, not the price people are listing it for. If you price it fairly this way it will sell on either site just fine. Goodluck to you!

Classified Ads are not the intension here

But If I see what I think is a deal I would like to be able to bring it here to offer fellow TD'ers without being harassed by the hall monitors such as your self.

You not interested.....Move on.... I'm sure the admins will be fine without you.

Its worth "pretty close to new" if its brand new in box never shot. IMO. Ide say within 50 bucks of purchase price.

Not necessarily. If you bought a gen 3 glock at full retail, shot only 50 rounds out of it and then wanted to sell it after the gen 4 came out it would not be near the price you paid for it. Also, you are assuming this person got a great deal on the pistol and didn't buy it from Jim's (or similar way over priced place). A new gun can range $100+ in price depending on where you get it.

Look at the FNP series. I bought an FNP 9 from a guy unfired which he paid $550 for new for $400 because that particular model can be had regularly for $375 online.

Im not saying it isn't worth close to or exactly what he paid for it. Im just saying to get a fair value (a price at which the pistol will sell), look at what they have been selling for. Something is only truly worth what the next person is willing to pay for it, econ 101. I hope for his benefit that it has held its value.

I don't disagree with what you said. But it's been my experience that new in box guns hold the value pretty well.

However that's just my personal experience and with certain guns that I've bought and sold.

Valid point about if or not he paid too much.....I have no way of knowing.
