Need a go-to spot to grab some wood for small woodworking projects. Hoping for a place with good variety. Any recommendations?

Are you looking for pine or fir kind of wood? Or are you looking for padook/walnut/teak/burl kinds of wood?

I would love to work with teak and burl on specialty projects. Where could I find those?

Brazzos 225-271-3560 in Denham Springs by the Magnolia bridge. Acadian Cypress 985-386-6079 in Ponchatoula. Unless Hogan Hardwoods reopened they are closed.

I had just milled a nice Burl into plank 4/4 boards. Gave them to my SIL. He is going to build a table with them once it dries. Had a sweet grain in it.
By cant them, It takes a very long time to dry(3-4 years). One must wax all sides when they are fresh cut. That is why they go for big money. People that sell them cant them green, take pictures, then wax them to show the buyer what is in the burl.
