They are bad arse. I even took it to the beach in Destin to test the waterproofness of it and it was bone dry. I was drunk as frick swimming around with this thing on my head. I got some interesting looks from people

Also, Look on EBay. I got mine during the summer (Pre GoPro2, listed $300 then) for $300 and it came with the LCD back.

Dumas mounts his to a long pole when he's fishing to get good underwater shots.

From your videos and others I've seen I can tell. I can't take pics while doing certain things when I'm climbing (safety) and I'd like to have some video of it for my memories and for when I post trip reports here.

I was just comparing the HDhero vs. the HDhero2 outdoor edition and the megapixel goes from 5 to 11. The 2 has a 170 degree wide angle, which will be great for some of the views I get. It has 10 shot burst for pics compared to a triple shot on the original.

Overall it's just an upgrade over the first one. It's like tv's....they have the technology for a better gopro but they slowly upgrade to make more money over the years. I'm sure they already have the specs for the gopro4

Does a bear shite in the woods?

If you like great quality pics like I do then yeah. I'm going to get the HD Hero2 outdoor edition (helmet edition) because of the better quality and wide angle shots.

IMO yes. Also, the fish eye lens makes it challenging to get good fishing vids on a far cast...

It dis everything I wanted it to. Its not for long range stuff. Gets good capture of things within 50 yards or so
