I own more than ten of the gen 2 S15 mags. I haven't had an issue with them.
Yo do have to change to the metal mag release if you go that route.I have a 43x and a 48 that I use those mags with.
For what its worth, I EDC a P-365 XMacro Comp with a Holosun EPS Carry MRS. I use Talon Grips with the texture Rubber-Black.on that one as well. I 110% love the Pro texture, but I don't typically use it on my carry guns.

Fellas, thinking about getting a 43x for EDC but I'd prefer carry more than 10 rounds.
"Shooting" vs. "gunfight." They are not the same thing and civilians are going to be in the first 99.999% of the time.
It's highly unlikely you'll ever need more than 10rds.
But you should always carry a spare magazine (it's more about having the spare mag than the rounds in it), which will give you additional rounds.
So carry whatever you shoot the best and is reliable. A 10rd 43x with a spare mag in a pocket is perfect.

I have several of the palmetto state micro dagger “micro slick” 15 round magazines that work very well in my 43x. No functional issues whatsoever…they are a bugger to get the 15th round in though.
You do not have to modify your mag release to use the micro dagger mags.

Please clarify this statement

The additional rounds are obviously a plus, even though they likely won’t be needed.
Mags fail/malfunction.
Mags releases get hit and mags fall out.
Mags can get dumped during a physical struggle.
A spare mag is like a spare tire. You don’t drive around with a spare alternator, starter, etc. even though those could fail. Tire failures are not common, but they are *common enough* that you DO carry ONE spare tire.
My point is that CCW folks don’t need loadouts suited for gunfights. They need to have the tools at their disposal to handle a shooting.
The best gun in that instance is:
A) the one in your hand
B) the one you can operate the most efficiently (shoot the best)
The gun in question was a 43x, but “only 10 rounds” was a concern. I’m saying that’s not a concern, much less if you have a spare mag like you should (if you can…I wouldn’t stress about it if I couldn’t carry one for whatever reason).

Any after market accessories can introduce a malfunction. I carry a 43x as well. I keep my carry gun 100% stock the way Gaston designed it.

Understood, thanks. I agree completely.
I think I remember seeing somewhere the average round count for self defense shootings is 2? Having 11 of them puts you wayyyy ahead of "typical" needs and "typical" being in quotes because odds are overwhelming that you'll never need even 1.

I carried a p365 for years, a bump won't make them fire. However the recent issues made me look hard. I do find the trigger almost as wide as the trigger guard and pretty close to the kydex walls. It can be pulled with a fingernail on the edge of the trigger, or just a drag along the edge.Went back to a dongle trigger. I'm back to a 26 and 43. Playing with the shield plus and BG2.0 too.

Yeah I think it is 2 or 3. And that number does not account for all the times the mere presentment of a gun stops a bad guy without any shots fired.
If I thought j needed 10 rounds, I’d get the hell out of where I am or I’d carry my AR15.

yup, that sucks, but there are options.

Does anyone have any recommendations on magazines with more capacity?
The PSA Micro Dagger magazines are a direct replacement for the 43X magazines and are 15 rounds.

Shield Arms are also another option. I have them, but they require you to swap out the magazine catch from the stock plastic one to a steel one. the original/initial batch of magazines from them were hit/miss, but mine have been just fine so far.

Its Nothing like saying that.
Do you carry your AR for Personal protection?
GLOCK designed the gun a certain way for a reason

You aren't wrong at all, but I think it's more about what aftermarket work is done. A drop in trigger? Fine. Sights? Fine. A better barrel? Fine.
I have a 17 and 19 that have about 500,000 rounds between the two of them. Hard, work-related shooting in all conditions. I've had to refinish both pistols twice each because holster wear from draws/presentations wore the slides down to bare metal.
Both have triggers, barrels, and sights.
In half a million rounds (most of it cheap ball/range ammo), I've had maybe a handful of stoppages. I don't remember each one, obviously, but 99% certain they were ammo related. None of them made me question the trigger, barrel, sights.

I must be the oddball man on earth. I find the glock factory triggers to be great for what they are.

sure it is.

i don't CARRY one for personal protection, but i do have one for home protection so my logic would also apply. applying your logic, i would assume you have a carry handle AR with a front sight post and plastic handguards because you know... Stoner "designed it that way for a reason."

so does every other manufacturer. that doesn't make Glock special.
in short, using company A's magazine in company B's firearm should be perfectly fine. if that weren't the case, Magpul wouldn't be in business.
