All true but does not sould like this gentleman has the knowledge to do this without killing himself or someone else. Especially in a crisis. Bad idea. Real bad.

Insanely easy to do. Just make sure the 2 hots, are on opposites side of the plug. I kept getting shocked every time I touched my generator frame only to realize that I had wired up the plug wrong. Not enough to harm you, but enough to give you a good little shock.

Probably want to make sure you aren’t double bonded if wiring to the panel. It’s not a problem until it is. This guy explains it better than I can.

Thats a good link. I wish I woulda found it when I went down the rabbit hole of grounding generators. Muddy waters for sure.

Commonly called a suicide cable (or cord).
