No, because it'll get stolen.

And its against the law, but mainly because the camera will get stolen.

Is it? I am unfamiliar with the law regard these thing but wonder why it would be illegal. And I'm sure tha would vary from state to state and whether it is federal, states, or parish/county land. Not to mention other public jurisdictional authorities like school board leaned and local municipalities other than counties/parishes.

I called the WMA office and they said they didn't mind me putting a cam out. So no, it's not illegal.

Of course they said that; they want a new camera...

Not against law on all public places. Some specifically mention leaving personal property unattended specifically on nwrs. State wmas are legal on most

Now throwing out corn before the season to get pics of deer is illegal as hell. Saw someone post pics of deer they had on camera on a wma that they corned up before the season

Yeah, put them out. Too good of a tool to not use. Buy cheap and camo them with leaves and moss. Maybe put a broken dummy cam out nearby. Some will get stolen, but if you hunt big deer you'll be away from everyone else anyway.

Not illegal to use in Utah and Idaho.

Fellas up here use the lockable cases that screw into the tree.

If somebody steals mine from a WMA in MS, so be it. Not like I'm putting a $200 camera out there. But really it's like finding a needle in a haystack. I'm more worried about finding it myself after not checking it for a couple months.
