Your heavy flow can be stopped by use of a tampon.

Just tried to take him out for the first time today. He was NOT having it. Yesterday I played with him for a while before putting him into his cage, but that was after dumping him out of the transport sack. Tried getting him off his perch, and his coils have a death grip on that stick. Maybe he'll ease up once he's used to his new surroundings. But I think this means I'll be buying the Carpet Python to have something to play with while I'm home alone all day. Luckily, there's another reptile show in a few weeks in Baton Rouge.
ETA- There were tons of designer Ball pythons at the Lafayette show, and the Piebald's look pretty sweet, but there was only one dealer with a real variety of other pythons. Here's an example of a Piebald. Pretty sweet looking.

I don't like snakes at all, but I have to say, that is the coolest looking one I have ever seen...

are these intentionally bred to have particular colorations?...

Oooh, that's pretty. I always wanted one of those pretty pale orange and white corn snakes, but I don't think I could feed it, because I think the mice are cute too, and I'd feel bad for them.

Beautiful animal!

A friend of mine is breeding king snakes and I am wondering if any of you "snake lovers" can lead him to a female Louisiana Milk Snake?

Beautiful animal. Until this year I've always had snakes in my classroom. In a few days the last of my custom enclosures will be picked up by a local college. Had some cool stuff over the years but never anything as beautiful as that. Congrats

Yes, there is some very specific breeding in those designer-type snakes. The better looking Piebalds were going for $2-4K at the reptile show (and you can get a regular ball python for probably $40). Eventually, they saturate the market, prices come down, and someone breeds the newest hot variation.

Now that his cage is set up, he's wrapped on his perch. Don't know how receptive he'll be when I try to pry him off that perch though.

Good luck getting his arse off that perch, bro!
